Running with the wind

Today is extremely cold. It was single digits in degrees (I think it was 0 degree) this morning with 20 miles per hour wind chill. I didn’t run but biked to work and back. I used to do winter hiking and I was full equipped for the weather. After coming back home late and ran two miles around Central Square. It was about 8:30 when I started. Here is a picture of me with mask running.

10 Miles Run with Dan

It was 20 degree this morning when I woke up, cold but 10 degree higher than forecasted. The best of all, it was a clear sunny day. Dan Cronyn joined me for the 10 miles run to work this morning. Here is a picture of us our friend Shawn took. Dan and I carried the flag in turns and he suggested that we also shout out “Raising money for cancer” and “onemilliondollarflag.com” while running. That was what we did. Here is a picture of Dan I took. Finally you get to see what the flag looks like while running with it.

(Dan also mapped our run on the google pedometer. Check it out at:  http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=666906)

3M Run

Another donation from Yu Cheng. Just want to say thanks. My good friend Dan will join me for our 10 miles run to work. I am very excited to have company. The weather is forecasted to be about 10 degrees tomorrow morning. It will be a fun run for us. I ran three miles today and here is a picture of me.

Just letting you know that whenever I run 5 miles or less I also bike to work for 20 miles that day. I tried to carry the flag on the bike but it was too hazardous. I think I will wear some sort of sign while riding my bike later. On the other hand, I hope to train enough so I can run to work every day.

Charles River 7 Miles

I ran seven miles a long the Charles River today. I started 5:30ish but it was already dark. Most of the snow from yesterday melted but you can still see some on the grass. The run was good an nothing exciting happened.

Running in Snow

Running for Cancer

Not sure if you can see but it was snowing this evening. I got home extremely late and had to cook some food. (I didn’t eat before dinner though). When I started running, it was 9:00pm. I ran a couple of loops around the neighborhood. The ground was covered with snow, as you can see from the picture. It was very slippery. I had to take very small steps. Getting a good footing was hard, I almost lost my balance several times to the occasional strong gust of wind.
