Weekend Run 5M

Today was another 20 degrees day but very sunny. I ran five miles through Harvard square. I wish I could do more but I didn’t plan my weekend well.

PS: Just FYI, although I love wine and whiskey, I am deciding to not drink alcohol this year in hope to take any chance I can to stay in shape and out of injury.

Snow

It weekend is going to be very busy. I planned to do a long run and a mid run but end up cutting short. I need to set some concrete running schedule next week so I can stick to it.

It’s kind of hard to tell from the picture but it was snowing when I took the picture. The wind speed was 20 to 30 miles per hour.

5M Tempo Run

Another five mile run to Watertown. The weather was quite warm and I had to take off my jacket. I tried to do a tempo run, four minutes on and four minutes off with one mile warm up. Running fast with the flag was much harder than I expected. It was difficult to open my strides while trying to balance the flag against the wind. My hands got tired fast because I had to hold on the flag extra tight.

5M Moderate Run

I ran five miles today to MIT, and then BU, then to the Charles River and back. It was a moderate run in the rain and the road was wet. Here is a picture I took in front of MIT.

I ran another ten miles this morning with the flag. It was sunny but exceptionally cold. It was only twelve degrees outside and -1 degrees with wind chill. I took one picture on the way but could not take the second picture until I arrived at my company. The battery of the camera got so cold and it would not give any juice.
